Position Overview

The Navistar Procurement Digital Innovation group is seeking a Digital Innovation Procurement Program Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating business activities relating to multiple Procurement business system implementations in an agile project management environment. The candidate will work alongside IT and cross-functional business SME resources and teammates to meet project metrics and goals. Will direct professionals directly or through supervisors and will engage both internal and external teams to support and facilitate projects as necessary. This role will represent Procurement on various cross functional calls in support of the above. The candidate will develop project plans while considering resource and operational challenges, adapting plans when necessary and escalating when appropriate. This role ensures required documentation for Navistar Procurement IT projects are completed by resources and archived with fidelity.

The Digital Innovation Procurement Program Manager will ensure new Procurement IT Business System projects are on time and on budget. This role reports key milestones to the organization, including senior leadership.

This role facilitates and manages development timelines and cross functional communication in support of on time launches for multiple projects. This is a highly visible, very challenging and rewarding position in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

Quick, in-depth learning of Navistar Procurement business systems and Navistar business processes
Build and manage relationships with end users, cross-functional teams, vendors and management
Anticipate potential problems, be proactive and manage changes to ensure projects are on time and within budget
Must be a skilled Problem-solver who follows through on implementation
Manage tight deadlines in a high volume, fast paced environment
Interact with vendors and cross functional teams to ensure timing & quality expectations of the program are met
Open and frequent communication on program status to cross functional and procurement leadership teams
Guide project resources
Involve the right internal and external resources to move project forward

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
At least 8 years business process improvement, lean or six sigma experience
At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

Master’s degree
At least 6 years of business process improvement, lean or six sigma experience
At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

At least 10 years of business process improvement, lean or six sigma experience
At least 1 year of lead experience

Additional Requirements

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
